CONFERENCES 2024: AUTUMN CALENDAR OF EVENTS

The summer holidays are slowly coming to an end and this means, among other things, preparations for the second conference season of 2024 begin. The Energy financial group (EFG) and selected subsidiaries will take part in a total of eleven professional and social events in the autumn season, with a programme focusing on energy, waste and investments.

Konference Energetika 2024 DEKARBONIZACE

18 September – 19 September / Brno

The annual professional conference is a unique open discussion platform for the course of the energy sector, attended by the majority of well-known names and companies from the industry. This year, representatives of companies such as GasNet, Pražská plynárenská, PRE distribuce and ČEZ, as well as representatives of governmental authorities, will speak. What energy sources will we have in 2030? And what kind of flows and imports can the grids handle? These are not the only questions they will try to answer.

Jesenná konferencia SPNZ

26 September – 27 September / Horný Smokovec

The traditional meeting of the Slovak Gas and Oil Association will again this year bring current topics such as the future of Slovakia and the Czech Republic as energy crossroads after the expiration of the Russian-Ukrainian transit agreement. Biomethane and hydrogen, natural gas trade and current legislation will also be discussed.

Enviromanagement

30 September – 1 October / Štrbské pleso

The current edition of the conference is about metrics used in waste management, why they are important for industry and how to use them to improve business and environmental performance. Topics will cover issues ranging from measuring greenhouse gases at active/closed landfills to calculating the performance and efficiency of waste-to-energy facilities. In addition, topics such as waste management charges will be addressed.

The event will also include a presentation of EFG Waste Logistic’s “Třídím gastro” project.

Výstavba a provoz bioplynových stanic

3 October – 4 October / Třeboň

This autumn we can meet again at the traditional autumn conference of the Czech Biogas Association in Třeboň, where we are a partner. It is intended for a wide range of audience, especially biogas plant operators, investors, project engineers or technology suppliers. EFG’s management will also address these groups of listeners with its contribution, which will cover, among other things, the impact of the biogas plant substrate on energy purchase.

Colors of Finance

9 October / Ostrava

The “CoF” is one of the largest financial networking events in the Czech Republic and is a platform for interdisciplinary debate on pushing the potential of the investment market. As part of the accompanying trade fair, over 60 exhibitors will present their latest products and services, while Energy financial group and its sales department will also present their investment instruments.

Předcházení vzniku odpadů

10 October / Prague

At the annual waste conference we meet representatives of key ministries and organizations (Ministry of Environment, Prague City Hall, etc.), representatives of municipalities and companies. This year’s event, where we will be presenting our “Třídim gastro” service and the launch of biomethane production from waste at EFG Vyškov BPS, focuses on food waste, legislation and digitalisation of waste management.

PRO-ENERGY CON

7 November – 8 November / Hustopeče

The two-day PRO-ENERGY CON is divided into four blocks on the first day and an excursion on the following day. Experts discuss the most pressing topics in panels, while answering questions from the audience. The evening is then followed by an informal meeting of the participants. This year’s blocks include 1) Flexibility Aggregation, 2) Green Gases, 3) PPA Contracts, and 4) Legislation + LEX RES II.

On behalf of EFG, the group’s CEO Tomas Voltr will be part of the panel discussion of the second part of the conference.

SBA: Budúcnosť slovenského bioplynu

7 November – 8 November / Zvolen

For the tenth year, the Slovak Biogas Association organizes a conference not only for biogas plant operators, but also for representatives of the state administration and technology companies. The presentations will be divided into thematic blocks this year as well, namely: production of renewable electricity and heat, transformation of biogas into biomethane, digestate application and treatment of biodegradable waste.

CZ Biom: Biomasa, Bioplyn a Energetika

12 November – 13 November / Třeboň

Traditional spring meeting of the Czech Biomass Association is dedicated to topics in the field of biogas, biomethane and organic waste. This conference is intended especially for members of the CZ Biom association, which for several years now also includes the Energy financial group.

Odpady z potravinářství

12 November – 13 November / Hustopeče

The aim of the conference is to introduce participants to the environmental impacts of food production and to identify opportunities to kick-start it in a sustainable direction through science, research and innovation. All this in the context of reducing carbon footprint and emissions. The event is organised in cooperation with the Food Chamber.

As part of the Energy financial group, we will be presenting our “Třídím gastro” service and the launch of biomethane production from waste at the EFG Vyškov BPS.

Infrastruktura měst a obcí

13 November – 14 November / Valeč

The event is mainly intended for a community consisting of professionals from the fields of energy, utilities and waste management, fuel and technology suppliers, academia, municipal companies and regional institutions.

The fourth edition, which will also feature EFG for the first time, focuses in particular on energy security and resource efficiency. Among other topics, the modernisation of waste management is one of them, which will be the basis for our contribution. The aim of our presentation will be to comprehensively describe the possibilities of collecting and subsequent processing of kitchen waste.
